Abstract submission

Abstract submission is closed. More than 3000 extended abstracts have been received and all of them have been evaluated by the Topic Co-Chairs, by the International Paper Committee (IPC) members and some of them by National Committees.
The IPC already virtually met at the end of March 2020 to analyze and finalize the evaluations. They worked very hard to reach a final common decision which is – per tradition of the IUTAM ICTAM Congresses - final and not questionable.

Notification of the acceptance or rejection of the abstracts have been sent out by the Organizing Secretariat at the beginning of April 2020.
In case you have not received any communication about the abstract you submitted, please contact the Organizing Secretariat.

The Organizing Committee is now defining a new agenda for the ICTAM 2020+1 Congress and will consider the possibility to open a new call of abstracts next September 2020.

Presenting Author

The same presenting author (oral or poster) cannot be assigned to more than one (1) abstract but can be included as co-author on more than one submission.
For each accepted abstract, at least one Author is expected to attend the congress and pay the relevant registration fee.
Authors of accepted abstracts should register by April 30, 2021.

Expenses associated to the preparation, submission and presentation of the abstract are the responsibility of the Author/Presenter.
All papers presented at the Congress are by invitation based on the recommendation of the International Papers Committee. No author will be invited to present more than one paper, with the exception that an author may present one paper on Education in Mechanics and another paper in one of the other sessions.

Presentation at Congress

Instructions for preparation of oral or poster presentations will be sent together with acceptance notifications.
